You Belong to Me

My heart was pounding so loud, I was sure everyone could hear it.

“No…” I whispered, stepping back. “This can’t be happening.”

But he didn’t move.

Didn’t blink.

Didn’t even care that the entire church was watching.

“Who is this man?” my fiancé asked, confused and irritated.

Before I could speak…He did.

“I’m the father of her child.”

Silence.

Complete silence.

It felt like the whole world stopped breathing.

“What?” my fiancé turned to me sharply. “Tell me he’s lying.”

My lips parted… but no words came out.

Because I couldn’t lie.

Because deep down,I knew he was telling the truth.

“I… I can explain…” I stuttered.

But it was already too late.

“Explain WHAT?” my fiancé snapped. “That you’re pregnant for another man?!”

Murmurs spread across the church.

My mother looked like she might faint.

Tears burned in my eyes.

This was never how it was supposed to happen.

He stepped closer again, his presence suffocating.

“Come with me,” he said calmly.

“I’m not going anywhere with you,” I shot back, trying to sound strong… but my voice shook.

His jaw tightened.

Then suddenly—

He grabbed my wrist.

Gasps echoed again.

“Let go of me!” I struggled, but his grip only tightened.

“You lost the right to refuse me the moment you disappeared,” he said coldly.

Fear crawled up my spine.

“You don’t control me anymore!”

He leaned in, his lips almost touching my ear.

His voice dropped to a dangerous whisper—“I own you now.”

My breath hitched.

My heart stopped.

“What… what do you mean?” I asked, barely able to speak.

He pulled back slowly… and smirked.

“I bought the company your family owes…”

My eyes widened in horror.

“…which means,” he continued, his gaze dark and possessive—“you belong to me.”
